What is Moon Sweepers?

A first-person lunar cleanup game developed and published by DragDrop Games, released on Steam on 23 October 2026. You collect dust, sell deliveries, upgrade equipment and grow the operation. The verified release is Windows PC.

This is the 2026 co-op game, not the 1983 Atari title Moonsweeper, Project Moon’s Sweepers, or the film Space Sweepers.

Can I play it free in my browser?

We have not verified a browser version or free full release. Moon Sweepers is a paid Steam game. Our official purchase guide links to the store; this website is an independent guide.

How many people can play? Are upgrades shared?

The official listing supports solo play and up to 16 players in online co-op. Since 1.0.3, the host’s Upgrade Matrix applies to the crew and purchases in it benefit everyone. This statement does not imply shared ownership of every handheld item or vehicle. Read the co-op guide.

Does only the host place conveyor mergers?

No longer under the documented 1.0.4 rules: any player can place mergers and splitters on other players’ conveyors. Mergers alternate inputs. See the conveyor checklist.

Where are the automatic save backups?

Version 1.0.4 stores backups under the Windows user’s AppData\LocalLow\DragDropGames\MoonSweepers\Backups directory, outside Steam Cloud. It keeps up to five per slot. Read the full path and save compatibility warning before changing files.

Is it on consoles, Mac, Linux or Steam Deck?

The verified build is Windows on Steam. We have not verified a console or native Mac/Linux release, or a Steam Deck certification rating. A Proton startup fix was included in 1.0.4. The platform guide explains the distinction.

Where are the official patch notes?

Our patch timeline summarizes the verified 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 announcements and links directly to the developer’s posts. Each guide shows a fact-check date. Check Steam for updates newer than that snapshot.
