Moon Sweepers tools and upgrades

What to improve, what the shared Upgrade Matrix means, and which equipment details are actually confirmed by official updates.

The equipment progression

The official progression starts with a toothbrush and expands into better cleaning tools, increased carrying capacity and cleaning vehicles. Dust shipments fund this growth.

Choose improvements for the part of the delivery cycle that is holding you back. This is a practical way to compare options, not an assertion about a mathematically optimal purchase order. We have not verified every tool’s price, unlock threshold or output rate.

The Upgrade Matrix is a crew purchase

Version 1.0.3 made the host’s Upgrade Matrix apply to the crew. When any player buys a matrix upgrade, the whole crew benefits. Existing saves keep the highest upgrade level already purchased.

This supersedes launch-week advice that everyone must buy the same matrix upgrades separately. It does not mean every tool or vehicle is automatically duplicated for each player. The co-op guide explains the precise scope.

Equipment details confirmed in 1.0.4

ItemOfficial change
Night Vision GogglesAdded at $350 in the in-game economy.
LightingN cycles the lamp, goggles and off.
Capsule CatcherCapacity increased to 100 kg.
J.O.O.N.A.S.Cleaning and routing improved; it works even without players nearby.

These are patch-specific facts, not a complete inventory. For robot behavior and delivery lines, continue to automation.

Before demolishing a garage

In 1.0.3, demolishing a garage stopped destroying its vehicles. Vehicles transfer to another garage if available, or wait until a new garage is built. The same update allows machines to span multiple foundations.

Do not generalize this into a promise about every demolition refund or every item in a vehicle. We have not verified a fixed refund percentage. Back up important progress and read the official patch summaries before relying on an older building tip.
